As part of the creation of a new sector within the Network department, we are recruiting a: Network Development Sector Manager 80-100% ## Your mission In this role, you are responsible for the steering and coordination of the strategic development of the Valais high voltage (HV) network. You ensure the strategic management of the assets of this network, the responsibility for the coordination of connections in the high voltage field, as well as contractual aspects. Integrated within the Networks department, you guarantee the direction and development of the sector. In this capacity, you resolutely orient the sector towards the strategic development of the network and the project portfolio. You plan and develop the necessary resources, encourage the targeted development of employee skills - particularly in the field of Asset Management -, actively participate in the management of the Networks department and directly support the department manager. You ensure close coordination with various partners such as Swissgrid, Valgrid, distribution network operators, producers, industrial partners, customers, as well as authorities. You steer the development of the high voltage network with an emphasis on security of supply as well as on the integration of the strategic capacities necessary in the long term. Among your other responsibilities are conducting studies related to network development, monitoring connection requests, as well as managing connection contracts and network use contracts. Furthermore, you are responsible for contract management in connection with simple partnerships relating to key assets. Your profile • EPF / HES engineering degree in electrical engineering or training deemed equivalent with ideally an EMBA • At least 5-7 years of experience in the development and strategic asset management of electrical networks • Proven experience in team management • Experience in the HV network field is an asset • Experience in managing multidisciplinary HV projects • Very good communication and negotiation skills • Leadership capacity and sense of responsibility • Sense of organization and planning (initiative, proactivity, sense of anticipation) • Perseverance, reliability, and flexibility • French or German native language with a very good command of the other language (C1 level), and also a very good command of English (C1 level) Why join us?
