MARTIGNY Job description ## Mission (Preparatory work) • check the state of the floor or the wall, in certain cases, strip an old covering; • flatten, sand, clean a new surface; restore a deteriorated screed; • apply the primer coat, smooth, waterproof; lay an underlay; • possibly adapt thermal or acoustic insulation; Profile description ## Setting and finishing • choose an appropriate technique and laying plan, depending on the type of support, the surface to be covered, and the obstacles present in the room; • unroll the carpet or resilient strips (rolls); spread a thin layer of glue; apply the covering, press using a heavy roller until perfect adhesion; • cut, adjust to exact measurements, make the joints; • assemble solid wood parquet elements (oak, beech, ash, exotic essences) or laminate, match colors, compose patterns, checkerboards; glue or nail, saw to adjust; • install baseboards and finishing profiles (stair nosings, door thresholds); • apply, on certain coverings, a protective product to facilitate maintenance; • sand, varnish, wax or oil parquet, using machines, to protect and enhance them.
