Find out more about UZH as an employer! ### Tasks • Ensuring the day-to-day business of the Mass Spectrometry department: method developments, routine analyses and evaluations, supervision of the Open Access area and user training/support • Supporting the research activities of the Mass Spectrometry department: investigation of complex samples, technical project consulting and support in the interpretation of data • Care and maintenance of the devices and the infrastructure: maintenance work, repairs, mass calibrations, management of the spare parts warehouse as well as communication with manufacturers and service technicians • Maintenance of the databases for the service operation and maintenance of the Open Access server "Chromeleon" • Management of the website of the new technology platform (www.cumolas.ch) Profile • Apprenticeship as Laborant:in EFZ specializing in chemistry as well as completed further training as Naturwissenschaftliche:r Labortechniker:in HFP (or equivalent) or a completed degree (FH) in the field of (analytical) chemistry (or equivalent) • at least 5 years of professional experience in LC/GC-MS and sample preparation • good knowledge of chromatography, "high-resolution" mass spectrometry, quantification and data processing • good knowledge of molecular properties and reactivities • very good German and English skills in speaking and writing • very good IT skills: experience in dealing with Windows computers, mass spectrometry software and databases (e.g. Chromeleon) • high level of independence, flexibility and resilience • extremely responsible, reliable and solution-oriented way of working Larissa Mostacciuolo Head of Human Resources \+41 44 635 44 96 larissa.mostacciuolo@chem.uzh.ch
