The Federal Security Service (BSD) of fedpol creates risk assessments and security arrangements and protects members of the Federal Assembly, employees of the Confederation as well as persons protected under international law. It is responsible for the protection of civil federal buildings as well as diplomatic and consular representations of foreign states in Switzerland. The BSD also ensures the training and deployment of security officers in air transport. The Operations, Training and Planning Department (EAP) develops basics and planning for the operational areas of the BSD and operates the Federal Interrogation Centre. It runs the competence center for security police training, ensures security in the Parliament building as well as at the seats of the Federal Council and at the main location of fedpol and is responsible for the recruitment, training and deployment of security personnel in international air transport. Additional information The service is carried out in uniform and according to fixed duty rosters with different shifts. Unrestricted color vision is required for the activity and will be checked as part of the application process.
