Active in road transport for 70 years, it is today managed by the third generation. Thanks to our fleet of vehicles, we carry out freight transport, distribution, construction site, heavy parcel, as well as special transports. Our vehicle fleet includes tractor units and trailers for the transport of food products, tipper trucks, mixer trucks and concrete pumps for the transport of construction materials, as well as special vehicles for the transport of construction machinery, construction elements and oversized installations. Our versatile company has more than 25 employees and is managed bilingually. For this full-time heavy goods vehicle driver position, we are looking for a person possessing the necessary skills, professional experience and motivation to competently, reliably and safely carry out freight transport with road trains as well as other transport tasks. Missions Types of transport • Freight transport: The main task consists of transporting refrigerated goods and miscellaneous goods using tractor units and road trains, including for distribution transports. Guidelines and measures ensuring the safe transport of food and other goods must be respected. • Construction site transport: Occasionally, you will carry out transports of construction materials with tipper trucks and mixer trucks, as well as tasks in other transport sectors. Execution of transports • Prepare transports: Receive orders with care; plan and prepare transports efficiently, safely and sustainably, in accordance with instructions. • Drive vehicles and transport goods safely: Drive vehicles safely and in strict compliance with laws and safety rules related to heavy traffic. Load and unload goods appropriately and safely. Secure loads and ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle and refrigeration devices. • Delivery to customers: Deliver goods to our clientele in a friendly, professional, efficient manner and in accordance with customer requirements. • Finalize and document transports: Close transports efficiently and write the necessary documents according to guidelines to ensure traceability. • Organize work processes efficiently: Structure company and personal work processes economically and in accordance with legislation. Ensure vehicle maintenance, safety and environmental protection • Cleaning, inspection and maintenance work on vehicles: Regularly and autonomously clean vehicles, systematically check vehicle components and perform small maintenance tasks according to instructions to ensure the safety and operational availability of the vehicles. • Ensure occupational safety and health protection: Scrupulously respect occupational safety, road safety and health protection regulations. This particularly concerns the working and rest hours of professional drivers (OTR 1). • Ensure environmental protection: Apply legal provisions regarding environmental protection and dispose of materials ecologically. Your profile Required experience • Several years of professional experience as a heavy goods vehicle driver. • Experience in the transport of food products or other consumer goods. Required knowledge and skills • Good knowledge of the road transport sector, particularly freight transport. • Technical understanding of the trucks, trailers and transport procedures involved. • Good knowledge of the legal provisions governing heavy traffic. • Good knowledge of German or French. • Sense of service in contacts with customers. • Professional presentation and correct behavior towards customers, superiors and colleagues. • Sense of duty, reliability, flexibility and stress resistance in the personal organization of one's work. • Basic computer skills. • Willingness to develop the business of Aeby Transporte AG in the long term in collaboration with management and our team. Required qualifications • Category CE driving license (trucks over 3.5 t as well as vehicle combinations with trailer and semi-trailer). Desired qualifications Completed professional training as a: • CFC heavy vehicle driver (Strassentransportfachperson) • Truck mechanic (heavy goods vehicles) • Or in another relevant field.
