Senior Platform Engineer Kubernetes / OpenShift

• IT - IT Infrastructure & Operations • Bern • Contracting • Full-time • Immediately - 31.12.2026 (with option to extend) • container, Kubernetes, OpenShift Your tasks: • Together with your team, you are responsible for the conception, engineering, and operation of a large container platform based on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift • You consistently manage and automate the underlying server and cloud infrastructure according to the Infrastructure-as-Code principle • You work closely with internal users, analyze new requirements, and develop innovative platform and cloud solutions • You implement and optimize new services, processes, and automations to continuously develop the platform further • You process support requests, maintain technical documentation and FAQs, and ensure stable and reliable platform operation • You support the team as part of a regular on-call service (approx. every seven weeks for one week) according to SRE principles • You actively contribute new ideas regarding automation, scaling, and modern technologies such as AI-based solutions to the team   Your profile: • Several years of experience in the administration and automation of Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters. • Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OpenStack. • Very good knowledge in the area of Linux systems, networks, and troubleshooting. • Confident handling of complex technical challenges as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working • You are a true team player and are passionately committed to the common goal and the sustainable operation of the platform • Good German and English skills in speaking and writing
