Social worker at 65% - 6 month fixed-term contract

Committed for over a century to the well-being of elderly people in Switzerland, Pro Senectute is today the largest organization of services intended for them and their loved ones. As part of a replacement for a sabbatical leave, Pro Senectute Arc Jurassien is looking for its Delémont site: A social worker at 65% Fixed-term contract 1st October 2026 to 31st March 2027 Missions: Promote the maintenance of autonomy and quality of life, as well as the integration capacity of elderly people. Main tasks: • Welcome and provide support to clients of the social consultation while respecting their freedom of opinion and decision, while encouraging them to make choices regarding matters that concern them. • Evaluate the social situation of clients and their surroundings in their entirety in order to guide and inform them. • Provide concrete material aid according to needs. • Network and coordinate the action of different actors (professional or non-professional), activate and/or implement resources to deal with a complex social situation. • Ensure the follow-up of situations using the code of ethics of the Swiss association of social action professionals as a reference and guaranteeing respect for professional secrecy. • Participate in the implementation of social policy for the elderly. Profile sought: • HES diploma in social work or training deemed equivalent. • Additional training in gerontology is an asset. At the very least, an interest in working with elderly people is required. • Additional training acquired as part of continuing education constitutes an asset, as does previous experience in working with elderly people. • Good knowledge of the medico-social network of the Arc jurassien. • Proficiency in German is an advantage. • Driver's license and vehicle available.
