In this exciting role, you carry out investigations and reports in lower-income countries, focusing primarily on human rights violations and economic crime in the commodities sector. You write for the Public Eye magazine and website, and present the results of your research in the media and at events intended for a wide audience. You also contribute to political projects, campaigns, as well as to the strengthening of investigative work within the NGO.
Your profile:
• University degree or from a specialized university of applied sciences, or equivalent practical experience
• Several years of professional experience as a journalist, with a strong emphasis on reporting and investigative work;
• Proven expertise in at least one of the following areas: the commodities sector; human rights and ecology; economic crime (in particular corruption);
• Great motivation for fieldwork, including in sensitive areas;
• Very good writing skills, as well as the ability to analyze and synthesize complex research results;
• French native speaker, with very good knowledge of German and English - Spanish and Portuguese, a strong asset;
• Autonomy, sense of initiative and flexibility (annualized working hours);
