Employee for Emergency Shelter 40-80% in Night Shift

The Heilsarmee Schweiz foundation as a leading social non-profit organization and church offers uncomplicated support to people in challenging life situations. In the emergency shelter, people affected by acute homelessness find a low-threshold overnight accommodation, a bed, and the opportunity to shower. The length of stay is temporary in every case and usually limited to a few nights. The operation is ensured by a night shift from 22:00 in the evening to 07:00 the next morning. Your tasks ### • Ensuring night operations with high personal responsibility • Admission and introduction of accommodation seekers • Direct contact person for accommodation seekers • Ensuring a regulated process and compliance with house rules • Security responsibility (conflict and emergency situations) • Data collection and ensuring payment • Recording and passing on relevant information • Telephone service and coordination with partner organizations • Cleaning and laundry work and minor maintenance tasks What you bring ### • Completed vocational training or equivalent education, ideally in social work • Experience in low-threshold work with people • Experience in dealing with people in challenging life situations • High social competence • Interest and ability to work independently • Foreign language skills desired • Willingness to work nights • Identification with the mission statement and Christian values of the Heilsarmee What we offer you ### • Opportunity to help shape an emerging offer • Interesting and varied activity with personal responsibility • Collaboration in a committed team • Good employment conditions • 40-hour workweek
