As a professor, you combine excellence in research and inspiring teaching and create a research group within the Institute of Medical Technology and Medical Informatics. Your applied scientific contributions are in the field of  • in silico modeling based on imaging and simulation of medical processes and events during diagnosis and treatment or  • the development of anatomy, physiology or pathology models based on imaging data for practical applications or • concerning video-assisted control and command of robotic systems (embodied AI) in medicine, surgery and care • AI-assisted clinical decision support (Clinical Decision Support) and the integration of imaging-based analysis into clinical information systems and digital patient pathways With enthusiasm, you acquire research projects, develop innovative ideas and build national and international consortia. You are responsible for the professional conduct of your projects. In teaching, you inspire bachelor and master students for medical information technologies and medical informatics (e.g. imaging techniques, image processing, systems theory, application of dynamic models in medicine, medical informatics, clinical decision support). As a committed personality, you develop new teaching formats and actively contribute to the strategic evolution of the university of applied sciences. Your profile: You are a creative and scientifically recognized personality, passionate about the interface between technology and medicine. Your university degree with a doctorate (medical informatics, computer engineering with medical knowledge or medicine with profound computer science skills) constitutes your foundation - completed by: • several years of professional experience in industry or in a hospital  • understanding of medical processes and clinical decision-making as well as knowledge in medical informatics / clinical information systems is an advantage  • proven competence in the acquisition and management of (international) projects oriented towards industry and economy  • ideally experience in managing work teams  • wide network in science and economy, notably in Switzerland and Europe  • recognized high-level publication activity, teaching experience, university didactic qualification or willingness to acquire it in the early years • very good knowledge of German and English You contribute to one of the leading life sciences universities in Switzerland - integrated into the innovative Pharma and MedTech cluster of Northwestern Switzerland.
