Communication Manager Mission The Swiss Plasma Center on the EPFL campus and one of the world leaders in fusion research, a field that has the potential to provide an abundant, safe, and environmentally friendly source of energy. Through a rich research program, we are working to deepen our understanding of plasma physics and drive fusion to the heart of the energy transition. We are looking for a communication manager who can manage and develop the internal and external communication of our Center. This person will pilot all communication channels and actively contribute to the vision and image of the organization with an autonomous position with a strong strategic and editorial component Main tasks and responsibilities • Pilots the communication of the center in collaboration with the SPC management • Defines the communication strategy and implements it through concrete actions • Ensures the editorial production and scientific popularization (articles, news, content) • Pilots and publishes the internal newsletter • Writes and disseminates press releases, maintains relationships with journalists • Creates content for social media and the web • Manages the visual identity and graphic charter of the center • Participates in the organization of internal and external events • Is the contact person with Mediacom, the central communication unit of EPFL • Verifies the administrative compliance of scientific publications Profile • You have a university degree or equivalent • You have at least 5 years of experience in journalism, institutional communication and/or public relations and media • You are passionate about scientific research and development as well as communication in this field • You master the management of social media and digital tools • You have excellent writing skills as well as great ease in oral communication, both in French and English • You are creative, dynamic, and autonomous • You are interested in scientific issues and open to multicultural environments We offer • A modern and stimulating work environment, based on the EPFL campus in Lausanne • Varied work in a dynamic and multicultural research laboratory • The possibility of actively contributing to the radiance of an internationally renowned center • Opportunities for ongoing training • A respectful, inclusive work environment offering equal opportunities for all • Flexible work models • Childcare facilities on campus Information • Start date: To be agreed • Minimum occupancy rate: 80% • Maximum occupancy rate: 100% • Type of contract: Fixed-term contract • Duration: One-year contract, renewable, minimum desired 3 years Reference: For any additional information, please contact Mr. Patrick Blanchard, by email at Write an email
