The Role To strengthen our Microwave Filters and Thermalizers (MFT) manufacturing team, we are looking for a motivated and meticulous Production Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and quality control of MFT devices, ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with our high-quality standards. What you will do • Assemble electronic and mechanical components as well as sub-assemblies according to work instructions, schematics, and technical drawings • Manufacture wound components, including winding, coating, and molding processes • Perform in-process and final tests as well as quality inspections to identify defects and ensure products meet specifications • Troubleshoot and rework faulty assemblies, identifying and resolving root causes • Accurately document production data, test results, and non-conformities in production logs • Use, monitor, and maintain production and test equipment used in MFT manufacturing (winding machines, test devices, and setups) • Identify and propose opportunities to optimize the reliability and efficiency of our production processes What we are looking for • Completed technical or professional training • Strong skills in electronic assembly and soldering techniques • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle small components, including under a microscope • Practical experience with hand tools and test and measurement instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes) is a plus • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions and to follow them precisely • Patience, sustained concentration, and attention to detail to consistently provide high-quality and reproducible work • Proficiency in English (ability to participate in internal meetings and understand work instructions); German is a plus • Team spirit with clear communication skills What we offer We offer a position that contributes directly to the fascinating field of experimental physics research.
