And set technical standards for interfaces, observability, security, and resilience • approach complex architecture challenges with perseverance and resilience, simplify them, and are perceived as a motivating lighthouse even in demanding situations. • can translate design patterns pragmatically from theory into practice and move confidently in distributed systems and different cloud environments • bring a wealth of experience in dealing with legacy and migration strategies, for example with lift-and-shift, strangler, or parallel-run approaches • understand concepts such as DDD, SCS, Clean Architecture, Event Mesh, SOLID, feature flags, or dependency injection as tools that you establish in a structured manner in the organization, and at the same time bring a solid understanding of distributed systems and DevOps practices • view AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code as self-evident tools • actively help shape and anchor agentic coding workflows in the engineering organization • establish a structured architecture review process • bring at least 10 years of experience in modern software development and have already gathered very solid experience in domain architecture • speak German and English We probably do not fit so well together if you • are an ivory tower architect and do not dive deep into practice together with the teams • prefer frameworks such as SAFe or think in classic project structures and requirement specifications • have worked predominantly in highly regulated environments and bring little experience in fast, product-oriented organizations with large distributed systems • feel more comfortable in role models in which infrastructure, backend, frontend, testing, and product thinking are strictly separated from each other • prefer to receive finished requirements instead of sharpening them together with Product Management and truly understanding customers • do not have an infinite hunger for knowledge to constantly learn new things • are more frustrated than motivated by imperfect systems.
