Bern \| 80-100% Your contribution <br /> • Examine and prepare dossiers relating to the assigned DDPS unit to be submitted to the head of the department and the secretary general for decision-making • Examine contents and draft opinions relating to dossiers from other departments during the departmental consultation procedure and in view of the Federal Council meeting • Prepare business content for the head of the department's interventions in Parliament and its commissions • Coordinate the preparation of the interface between the corresponding DDPS unit and the head of the department, as well as with interlocutors from other departments • Prepare and elaborate specialist correspondence and reports <br /> What distinguishes you <br /> • University degree (master's) and several years of professional experience, preferably in a political field • Excellent knowledge of political processes and great sensitivity to political issues • Rapid assimilation capacity and ability to explain complex issues in a concise and understandable manner • Strong social skills in interacting with interlocutors in a manner appropriate to the recipients at all levels • Strong loyalty and team spirit, service orientation, and a touch of humor • Strong attention to quality, sense of responsibility, and ability to assert oneself • Good active knowledge of two official languages and passive knowledge of the third official language <br /> In summary Act as our prudent key element between the head of the DDPS, the DDPS offices, and further stakeholders in other departments and in Parliament. As a member of the DDPS rapporteur team, you will be responsible for providing advice to the head of the department from a technical and political perspective. The DDPS General Secretariat is the actual staff organization of the department. It assists the head of the department in his role as a member of the Federal Council and in the management of the DDPS, elaborates the political strategy as well as the directives for the administrative units and supports and monitors their implementation. Furthermore, it provides for planning, controlling, and coordination at the departmental level in the cross-cutting sectors Personnel, Finance, Law, and IT, as well as in the Security Policy and Territory and Environment sectors.
