You will work at the heart of a multidisciplinary team in a university environment at the forefront of technological innovations. Within the Ophthalmology Service, you will ensure a varied activity composed of various technical imaging and functional exploration examinations to ensure high-quality care for patients (OCT, angiographies, retinographies, biometries, ultrasounds, visual fields, visual acuity testing, refraction…). You guarantee the technical quality of the examinations and compliance with procedures. Constantly monitoring technological developments, you perform the fine-tuning of techniques and procedures, and participate in research as well as the testing of new equipment. You take part, as needed, in teaching, development, and research activities while cooperating closely with all employees of the unit and the hospital. You hold a Swiss diploma as an orthoptist/optometrist/optician or a recognized EU diploma, or hold a recognized professional training in Switzerland that corresponds to the sought profile. Having extensive training in ophthalmic technical examinations is an asset. A right to practice in the canton of Genève is indispensable. Initial professional experience in performing ophthalmic technical examinations, acquired in a hospital, clinic, or office setting, is required. Expertise in performing visual fields constitutes an asset. Depending on the profile, an activity mainly dedicated to this specialty may be considered. You are comfortable using common IT tools. You have a perfect command of the French language. You possess good organizational skills and demonstrate professional rigor. You demonstrate empathy and respect towards patients as well as your colleagues thanks to your developed team spirit. You possess high resistance to stress and know how to adapt according to the situation. This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological, and oto-rhino-laryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to the rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation). The objective of the department is to lead patients toward recovery of their autonomy through teaching, support, and outpatient follow-up. It ensures the operation of patients as well as their support, in order to favor an early return home. In the same vein, outpatient care is also prioritized and operative activity optimized, to facilitate accessibility to care within a reasonable timeframe.
