(Senior) PostDoc

The Department of Gyn. Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine of the Clinic for Gynecology at Inselspital Bern, a leader in the field of oncofertility in the German-speaking-speaking region, is looking for a (Senior) PostDoc starting immediately for the HORIZON project <<Predicting and preventing late effects in adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors>>, part of the EU Cancer Mission Cluster "Quality of life (AYA)". What to expect <br /> • The project examines gonadotoxicity and the risk of infertility from cancer therapies in women and men in Switzerland, but also in around 10 other European countries, as well as genetic predisposition factors for high gonadotoxicity • The project was started 1 year ago and data collection has begun • Support is now sought for data collection, data analysis, and publication of the data • Support for the FertiTOX project (www.fertitox.ch (http://www.fertitox.ch)) is as welcome as support for associated questions in the field of oncofertility • Support in the preparation of ethics applications and in database maintenance, as well as the coordination of data collection in Switzerland • Analysis of the data from the AYAPredict project (<https://predictaya.eu/>) and the data associated with it from the FertiTOX project • In the medium term, participation in the development of an app/DiGA for the indication of fertility-protective measures using the available data • Drafting of research applications and scientific publications <br /> What you bring with you <br /> • Completed education in the field of health and life sciences or a related subject area • Interest in data-oriented clinical research • Interest in oncology and reproductive medicine (oncofertility) • Initiative and problem-solving competence • High motivation, goal-oriented way of working, as well as enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation • Fluent German skills as well as good English skills <br /> Our offer <br /> • A varied and responsible activity • A modern, bright workplace in a central location in Bern • Multi-award-winning staff restaurants, generous continued payment of wages in the event of incapacity for work, Inselspital-owned daycare, and many other advantages <br /> Questions about the position?
