Schwarzenburg has around 7000 inhabitants. The diverse municipality with its historic village center is located in the Gantrisch Nature Park and is easily accessible by public transport. Schwarzenburg is the regional center in the triangle of Bern, Thun and Freiburg.   The municipal social service is responsible for the areas of social assistance, voluntary counseling and child and adult protection. By arrangement we are looking for a Social Worker 50 - 100 % ## Your main tasks In social assistance, you are responsible for the assessment, calculation and provision of social assistance benefits as well as for the counseling and support of social assistance recipients. In preventive counseling, you provide information to those seeking advice and undertake financial and personal counseling. In child and adult protection, you are responsible for mandate management and for the assessment of reports of danger and for further orders from the KESB. Your profile • Diploma in Social Work FH/HFS/BSc • Practical experience in statutory social work is desirable (social assistance and KES) • Good IT skills, possibly knowledge of the case management system KLIB • You are independent, committed, resilient and find your way quickly in new and challenging situations • You work goal- and solution-oriented, are empathetic and can also assert yourself if necessary.
