Every year, we offer an apprenticeship as Logistiker/in EFZ, specialization in warehousing (a). The 3-year training at Bachem is based on the model of triadic training, in which theory, basic training, and practice are taught at three learning locations. • You will spend the majority of your apprenticeship in the two main warehouses for technical and chemical materials. In addition, you will visit the tank farm, disposal, supply, and shipping areas. To learn and understand the entire logistics process, there are 3 smaller internships in the areas of planning, purchasing, and distribution. • Once a week, you will attend the vocational school in Liestal. In vocational studies, all theoretical foundations are laid which are applied to the work processes in practice. • In addition to this practical and theoretical training, the trainees complete the intercompany courses of the SVBL (Schweizerische Vereinigung für die Berufsbildung in der Logistik) and obtain, among other things, the forklift license. Job description: The warehouse is the control center of our company. Here, logisticians coordinate all material flows of the most diverse departments in the company. Delivered goods are unloaded, checked, and recorded in the system using IT. Logisticians pick goods based on customer orders and ensure the transport of the goods to their destination. Goods are professionally packaged and, with the help of modern forklifts and industrial trucks, loaded and secured according to regulations. They carry out the control of stock levels and optimally implement the requirements for a smooth flow of goods. Another area of responsibility is the professional disposal of residues and waste, in compliance with all environmental and legal regulations. The logisticians ensure the flow of goods in a team using modern aids. Just as they coordinate the material flows, they are also the contact persons for the other departments involved in the flow of goods.
