Residential Companion for Apprentices and Young Adults aprentas is the training network for basic and further education for scientific, technical, and commercial professions. Residential homes and shared apartments managed by aprentas offer accommodation and care in Muttenz and Basel for young people from out of town in training (apprentices and interns from home and abroad) aged 15 to 25. For our Living team, we are looking as of 1. November 2026 or by arrangement for a committed personality who enjoys contact with young apprentices, likes to address housekeeping topics in everyday life and maintains an organizational overview. Residential Companion for Apprentices and Young Adults (50%-60%) Your tasks Accompany young adults/apprentices in everyday residential life with interest, openness, and an appreciative fundamental attitude. Maintain personal contact with the apprentices consciously through everyday and housekeeping tasks. Recognize housekeeping topics, address them clearly and supportively, and accompany the apprentices in their implementation. Together with the apprentices, shape a well-kept, binding, and lively everyday residential life. Plan and coordinate processes, appointments, tasks, and activities in the residential setting reliably and proactively. Maintain an overview even with various concerns and bring structure to the everyday life of the shared apartments. Conduct individual conversations, organize group events, and use everyday situations as learning and development opportunities. Work independently in a self-organized team and actively contribute your observations, ideas, and organizational skills. Your qualifications Completed basic vocational training; experience in the social, pedagogical, housekeeping, or care sector is an advantage. Strong enjoyment of contact with apprentices and young adults in vocational training. Interest in not only performing housekeeping activities but understanding them as part of the accompaniment and relationship building. Organizational talent, reliability, and the ability to keep several tasks, appointments, and concerns in view at the same time. Empathy, communication strength, humor, as well as enjoyment of a lively everyday life with adolescents and young adults. Readiness to participate in a small, interdisciplinary, and self-organized team and to take on diverse tasks in the residential setting. Good user knowledge in Office 365 as well as very good German and English skills. Flexibility to work at two locations with flexible working hours and annual working hours, with working hours predominantly in the evening without night presence. Readiness for 3 evening shifts, on-call service during the night during the week, approx. every six weeks.
