Zollikofen, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-100% Your contribution • Plan and monitor the use of databases; define system requirements • Ensure the preparation, operation, automation, engineering and re-engineering of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases as well as the related platforms • Design and implement PostgreSQL databases at various levels of the hardware infrastructure and operating systems • Supervise the identification and resolution of faults and errors, tuning and current operation; develop data migration plans in case of updates / release changes or transitions to other database software • Provide advice and support in the development of systems and applications taking into account logical design, database technology and their operation; prepare and hold workshops, draft technical documentation <br /> What distinguishes you • Apprenticeship in computer science with a specific focus on platform development, and/or additional training as an Oracle database administrator; knowledge of Oracle databases is desired • Experience with operating systems and scripting (SQL, PSQL, Shell script, Perl, Ansible); practical experience in backup and recovery processes; skills in database automation (Ansible, Bash etc.) constitute a preferred qualification • Collaborative approach and communication skills; team spirit and willingness to learn new technologies; logical and analytical mindset; autonomous way of working • Experience in the technical direction of projects or as a Scrum Master constitutes a preferred qualification; propensity to work independently in an agile, motivated and highly competent team • Excellent knowledge of two official languages; knowledge of English constitutes a preferred qualification <br /> In summary Are you looking for a new challenge in which to leverage your knowledge and skills in the relational database sector, particularly PostgreSQL and know-how in Oracle?
