Head of Logistics and Material Management Shape the future of an international industrial group Our client, based in the greater Bern area, is a technologically leading industrial group with an international presence and demanding production and logistics processes. In the course of the strategic further development of the entire supply chain, an entrepreneurially minded leadership personality is sought to take responsibility for logistics, inventory management and future material control. This key position reports directly to the COO and will evolve in the coming years from a classic logistics management role into group-wide end-to-end responsibility for supply chain management, material management and international logistics networks. A particular focus lies on the sustainable optimization of stocks, the establishment of a European logistics hub and the further development of a modern, data-driven supply chain organization. Your challenge Supply Chain & Inventory Management Take overall responsibility for group-wide inventory management and ensure optimal material availability with minimal capital commitment Analyze stocks and implement concrete improvement measures sustainably Further develop modern methods of stock control and create group-wide transparency Establish future-proof processes in S&OP, planning, scheduling and material management Establishment of the European Logistics Hub Be responsible for the planning and implementation of a new European logistics hub in Germany Develop business cases and prepare sound decision-making bases for the executive board and board of directors Ensure the integration of the hub into the entire supply chain architecture Actively shape the project from the concept phase to successful ramp-up Logistics & Operational Excellence Further develop the logistics organization including warehouse, intralogistics and freight forwarding Optimize material flows, warehouse structures as well as national and international transport concepts Drive operational excellence initiatives forward together with the specialist departments Ensure a high-performance supply for internal and external customers Systems, Processes & Transformation Continuously further develop SAP and relevant control instruments Ensure high data quality, efficient processes and sustainable governance Lead cross-departmental transformation projects Successfully implement optimizations together with purchasing, production, engineering, finance, sales, service and IT Your profile Technical or business administration basic training with further training at HF, FH or university level Several years of leadership and management experience in supply chain management and in the logistics of a manufacturing industrial company Demonstrable success in the optimization of stocks, material flows and supply chain processes Sound knowledge in supply chain management, materials management, scheduling, MRP, S&OP and inventory management Very good SAP knowledge, especially SAP MM at controller and key user level Experience in change and transformation projects as well as in the establishment of modern supply chain organizations Experience in international industrial companies is an advantage German at a business fluent level as well as very good English skills; French is a plus Your personality You are an entrepreneurial doer personality with a strong sense of ownership and high implementation competence.
