As a Senior Process Engineer Formulation (m/f/d), you will develop groundbreaking processes for innovative active ingredients in our state-of-the-art R&D center in Sisseln. Work together with a talented, multidisciplinary team from chemistry, biotechnology, and analytical science and bring your ideas directly from the laboratory into production. In our global Formulation & Material Science organization within Science & Research, you will have the chance to deepen your expertise in designing product forms and formulation processes for food, feed, and pharma products. Your main responsibilities • Lead innovation projects - Develop cutting-edge formulation processes and equipment for hydrophobic active ingredients and lead global project teams to success • Shape cutting-edge technology - Design, adapt, and implement state-of-the-art formulation equipment for particle formation (e.g., rotor-stator, high-pressure homogenizer) and phase separation (e.g., thin-film evaporator) at a small liter scale • Make data-driven decisions - Analyze complex data, identify trends and optimization potential, and use machine learning (ML) for process improvement • Create technical documentation - Develop comprehensive technical documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, and technical specifications as well as meaningful reports and presentations • Ensure transfer to production - Implement your developed technologies and processes at production sites by providing suitable technical data and personal on-site support • Ensure safety and quality - Consistently adhere to SHE specifications and implement all requirements We offer • A culture that puts safety and well-being first • A familial atmosphere and high cohesion • Broad training opportunities and space for professional and personal development • Above-mandatory contributions to the pension fund and attractive social benefits • Attractive working conditions and a modern working environment • Flexible working hours You bring • Completed studies in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering, or comparable courses of study • At least 5 years of professional experience with formulation processes and technologies (dispersing, crystallizing, emulsifying) as well as equipment such as high-pressure homogenizers and evaporators • Strong affinity for process modeling, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning to optimize formulation processes • Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form for working in international teams • Distinct team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical content understandably • Highly motivated, independent, open-minded, and solution-oriented with the ability to act successfully in a multinational, dynamic environment Our application process Interested in this position?
