Childcare Specialist / Early Childhood Educator (or a person with a related professional background) (m/f/d | 30%) ## As of 17 August 2026 or by arrangement Der Inselhof is a competence center for children, mothers, and stressed families with complementary (part-)residential and outpatient services for various needs. The Kinderhaus includes four residential groups for eight children each aged 0-9 years, who were placed due to a measure of the Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde (KESB). The internal playgroup, the Vorkindergarten, psychotherapy, and the art studio complete the range of services. The Tagesstruktur Plus offers eight part-residential places for children aged 0-9 years. As a complementary offering for the children in the Kinderhaus and in the Tagesstruktur Plus, we offer our internal Vorkindergarten «Zauberwald» during weekday mornings. In addition to kindergarten-like elements (e.g., morning circle, prepared play environment, theme-related work), this offers plenty of space for free play. Every Friday morning, the Zauberwald takes place outdoors in nature / in the forest. The Zauberwald is carried out during the school weeks of the Stadt Zürich and remains closed during the school holidays. The working time required for compensation must be worked in advance. What you bring with you: ### • A qualification as a Fachperson Betreuung Kind, as an Early Childhood Educator, or a comparable degree • Experience in working with children between 3 and 5 years old • Experience in designing a Zauberwald-like offering • Diligence and understanding in dealing with children from stressed backgrounds as well as interest in topics surrounding child protection • Ability to deal with challenging behaviors and humor and composure that you do not lose even in demanding situations • Capacity for reflection and interest in developing yourself personally and professionally • Interest and curiosity to design the Zauberwald creatively and actively What you can look forward to: ### • Versatile work in a two-person team, integrated into a lively institution • Working days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.00-11.30 am (possibility to increase to 40% at a later date) • Time for exchange and administration: once to twice weekly approx. 11.30 am-1.30 pm • Working according to trauma pedagogy • An open, humorous and supportive team as well as various opportunities for exchange/events • Opportunities for design in pedagogical work and the further development of the offerings • Remuneration according to cantonal guidelines • 5 weeks vacation • Good accessibility with public transport and bicycle • Various other benefits can be found on our website Have we aroused your interest in this position?
