Das Rote Kreuz Basel is a non-profit organization with around 190 employees, dedicated to people in the health, social, education, and migration sectors. In the inpatient facility Birsbrugg in Birsfelden, people with a chronic mental illness are primarily supported in everyday life. Birsbrugg offers living space, daily support, as well as low-threshold work and employment opportunities. The focus of the care activities is stability, participation, self-determination, and the individual development of the clients. Birsbrugg is a recognized institution for disability assistance in Basel and part of the Living, Working, and Social division of Das Rote Kreuz Basel. Due to a retirement, we would like to re-fill and further develop the position of Heimleitung as of 1. February 2027. You are responsible for the management of inpatient living in the residential home Birsbrugg and are subordinate to the division management Living, Working, and Social. The focus is on business management as well as the further development of the services according to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and the concept of Functional Health. Tasks: Management and further development of inpatient living in the residential home Birsbrugg with 13 employees (incl. internship and training positions) as well as several night watches. You manage the residential home professionally, lead the care team as well as the employees of the supporting areas of kitchen and housekeeping. Additionally, you coordinate the cooperation with authorities and specialist agencies, accompany the admission of new clients, and undertake quality assurance and administrative tasks. You create deployment plans, monitor working hours and holidays, process billing-relevant data, and are the contact person for IBB topics as well as the client documentation software redline. Furthermore, you participate in the further development of the services and in external specialist committees. Requirements: We require a federally recognized tertiary-level training in the social sector as well as further training in the management and finance sector. Additionally, you have experience in dealing with people with impairments and know the concept of Functional Health or are willing to acquire it. A resource- and solution-oriented mindset as well as an independent and responsible way of working round off your profile.
