Bern, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-80% Your contribution <br /> • Handle specialist topics and matters relating to identity documents with a focus on digital components (microchip, public key infrastructure, public key registry) and on digital identity documents • Prepare analyses, evaluations, reports and opinions on national and international developments, in particular on the norms and regulations in the identity document sector of the European Union, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and make your specialist knowledge available to the various stakeholders of the Confederation and the Cantons • Prepare decision-making bases, supporting documents and proposals at the level of management, department and the Federal Council • Contribute to designing plans, strategies and projects for the further development of the specialist sector • Represent fedpol and Switzerland within national and international specialized bodies (ICAO, EU Commission) <br /> What distinguishes you <br /> • University degree or equivalent training constitutes a preferential title • Availability and ability to learn quickly, to deepen and subsequently transmit specialist knowledge in the field of identity documents, related microchips, public key infrastructures and associated public key registries, as well as applicable international standards and certification requirements • Analytical and conceptual skills and a strong ability to work in an interdisciplinary manner • Autonomous and structured way of working and a sense of responsibility • Interest in interdisciplinary work and exchange with different stakeholders • Excellent knowledge of two official languages and English <br /> In summary Do you want to contribute actively to the development of Swiss identity documents and make a difference thanks to your skills? The fedpol Police and Identification Systems management division ensures the secure operation and further development of essential police information systems and databases, serves as the national liaison point for the exchange of police information and provides forensic and identification services to national and foreign partner authorities. The Identity Documents and central offices division fulfills the legal mandate of the Confederation in the field of identity documents and weapons and explosives law. It includes the central Weapons office, the central Explosives office, the Identity Documents and Id-e sector as well as the Security Documents and counterfeit money competence center. Furthermore, it is responsible for high-level supervision, market surveillance, the issuance and development of identity documents and e-Id solutions as well as the analysis and fight against abuse and forgeries. Complementary information The position is limited to two years, as it serves as a replacement for an employee who will be absent during this period.
