Server Specialist (m/f/d)

Your tasks: • Planning, implementation and orchestration of ICT platforms in the On-Premise environment with a focus on virtualization of server and client environments • Definition, configuration and optimization of the virtual infrastructure starting from the hardware level up to and including the guest operating system • Co-design of the entire ICT architecture as a subject matter expert Infrastructure Hardware and its interfaces to other systems such as operating systems, network layer, authentication services, basic applications etc. • Support and construction for the virtual infrastructures and their LifeCycle • Design and further development of the virtualization platforms regarding availability, security and data integrity through standardization and automation • Operation of the virtualization infrastructure as well as active support for the entire ICT infrastructure • Interdisciplinary cooperation with other subject matter experts (e.g. network, virtualization, infrastructure etc.) • Coordination and implementation of in-depth diagnostics in the event of performance problems, error analyses and capacity planning in the area of infrastructure hardware • Documentation of system configurations and processes as well as ensuring compliance with guidelines and procedures • Construction of MS- SQL database Your profile: • Training as an Informatiker/in EFZ Plattformentwicklung or a comparable training with corresponding further education (HF/FH) in informatics • Professional experience in the engineering and operation of virtualization and server infrastructures in an enterprise environment • Sound experience in the planning, implementation and operation of virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware vSphere/ESXi, VMware vCenter or Microsoft Hyper-V) • Knowledge in the area of server hardware, storage and data center infrastructures, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP as well as authentication services • Knowledge in the area of network (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching) and their interaction with modern infrastructure platforms • Knowledge in the installation, configuration and administration of Microsoft SQL Server • Knowledge in the area of IT security, system hardening as well as the implementation of security and compliance requirements • Very good German skills in speaking and writing as well as good English skills Your added value: • Look forward to a varied and responsible activity in a modern ICT environment in which you can actively contribute your expertise and help shape the infrastructure sustainably • A collegial and motivated team awaits you, which places value on open cooperation, mutual support and short decision-making paths • You will work with modern technologies and receive the opportunity to continuously develop your professional and personal skills through targeted training and further education.
