Job Description ## The ideal apprenticeship for young adults with enthusiasm for natural sciences and chemical-physical processes! You will work in different areas of research: • Assisting in the development and characterization of chemical compounds and optimizing their production processes • Planning experiments based on literature research • Carrying out experiments to produce chemical compounds or to answer analytical questions • Using glass apparatus and laboratory technology, such as synthesis robots • Investigating chemical substances with highly precise analytical devices, for example their purity or chemical structure • Recording and evaluating data and series of measurements • Documenting and evaluating experiments The training lasts 3 years, of which 6 months is basic training in our apprenticeship laboratory on the ETH Hönggerberg campus. During the apprenticeship period, you will change your place of assignment according to the rotation principle and thus get to know ETH from different perspectives. Profile ## You enjoy experimenting and are interested in chemistry, physics and mathematics as well as working with electronic devices and complex apparatus. In addition, you have good powers of observation, fine motor skills, are reliable and have a careful, structured and precise working style. With your ability to think in networks, you approach experiments with sufficient perseverance and patience.
