What the position offers you You take on technical responsibility for all automation components of our production plants – from PLC, HMI, and drives to safety and network systems. You define and maintain standards for software, hardware, and documentation and evaluate new technologies as well as spare parts solutions so that availability and utility are secured in the long term. You actively drive the future viability of our plant and machine park: You build the data structure for predictive maintenance (I4.0), connect machine data from PLC systems to superior IoT platforms, and take over complete software and network administration of the machine park – with the goal of turning data into real operational benefit. You lead automation projects or sub-projects independently: You personally assist with technical implementations, coordinate internal and external participants, and ensure that a clean, practical solution is achieved in the end – with a view to safety, quality, and environmental requirements. You actively contribute to reducing unplanned downtime and increasing plant availability. You coordinate external service providers technically, accompany technical acceptances, and specifically apply your know-how during critical malfunctions so that operations can be restored stably. In addition, you further develop our Maintmaster software in close cooperation with the Team Lead Electronic Maintenance. What you bring for the position You have completed a basic technical training in automation, electrical engineering, or mechatronics and bring several years of experience in industrial automation – ideally from a production or maintenance environment. Further training at HF level in automation, systems technology, or electrical engineering is a plus. You have very good knowledge of PLC, HMI, drive technology, industrial networks, and functional safety. You analyze technical problems with joy and meticulousness: You get to the bottom of causes, soberly weigh solution options, and implement the result so that it truly holds up in everyday life – pragmatically, but without compromising quality. You work independently, structured, and reliably. You recognize what needs to be done, prioritize independently, and do not lose sight of things even in complex situations with multiple parallel requirements. You communicate clearly and directly – with colleagues on the shop floor as well as with adjacent specialist departments, project teams, and external partners. You bring the necessary sensitivity to explain technical matters understandably and to bring different stakeholders to a common denominator.
