Professional from another sector as works manager at district 3 # Technical Office | 80-100 % | Samedan ## The Technical Office is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of cantonal roads, as well as for hydraulic works and slow mobility in the Grisons. Furthermore, we are responsible for the operational maintenance of national roads within the cantonal territory. The road infrastructure of the Canton includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 meters high and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain Canton conceals in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. For the road maintenance section in district 3 Samedan, we are looking for a professional from another sector as a works manager for 1 November 2026 or a date to be agreed upon Tasks • Collaboration in the direction and control of the construction sites assigned to you in the capacity of client representative • Determination of deadlines and coordination of works • Quality assurance, measuring activities and execution of all works provided for by the contract • Preparation of estimates, tender documentation and calculations • Monitoring of the estimate • Execution of technical tasks for road maintenance • On-call service in the capacity of site manager What we expect from you • Completed professional apprenticeship in construction • Some years of professional experience, ideally in civil engineering • Willingness, as a professional from another sector, to attend the professional training necessary to perform works management tasks • Willingness to learn and ability to assert oneself • High social skills, organizational skills and ability to conduct negotiations as well as to work in a team • The working language is generally German; good knowledge of multiple cantonal languages constitutes an advantage We look forward to receiving your online application and will be pleased to meet you.
