Vocational school teacher for vocational subject teaching for the training of Fachfrau / Fachmann Betreuung (FaBe) with specialization in Children (KIN), as of autumn semester 2026/27, 30 - 40% # The Berufsfachschule Winterthur (BFS) is a competence center for social professions and retail. Around 4000 learners are taught here by approximately 200 teachers. The school is organized into two departments: the Department of Social Professions, in which Fachfrauen/-männer Betreuung (FaBe) and Assistentinnen/Assistenten Gesundheit & Soziales (AGS) are trained, as well as the General Department for retail professions (EFZ and EBA) and pre-apprenticeship. Tasks ### • Teaching the action competencies in the vocational subject KIN in the Department of Social Professions on two weekdays (30-40%) • Collaboration in specialist groups, working groups, and projects • Creation of computer-based, practice- and action-oriented teaching units • Collaboration in the further development of the FaBe professional field • Participation in internal school events and familiarization with internal school teaching concepts Profile ### • a professional education at tertiary level (highest profession-related degree) e.g., Soziale Arbeit FH (specialist profile social pedagogy), degree in (special) pedagogy / psychology (MSc), Sozialpädagogik HF, Kindererziehung HF • Preferably, you have training and several years of experience as a vocational school teacher • practical experience in the non-family care sector (after-school care, nursery, socio-pedagogical institutions etc.) • willingness to teach vocational subjects with a high theory-practice transfer • teamwork skills, resilience, as well as joy in accompanying young people during their vocational training • joy in innovation • IT skills and the willingness to conduct computer-based teaching • Expected school days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or Friday Offer ### • Employment with a workload of 8 weekly lessons • a competent, collegial team • supportive school management and specialist groups • an innovative school in which teaching development topics are addressed in an internal training program • comprehensive mentorship program for new teachers • employment within the framework of the cantonal secondary school and vocational school teacher ordinance Have we aroused your interest? ### Further information about the BFS can be found at www.bfs.zh.ch.
