Specialist consultant in seismic safety and water protection Bern, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-100% Your contribution Provide specialist advice in seismic safety within the scope of projects concerning new constructions, the transformation and restoration of buildings in Switzerland and abroad Provide specialist advice in the planning and implementation of measures for water supply and disposal in the areas assigned to the UFCL Manage the specialist inventories regarding earthquake prevention for the Confederation's civil constructions and the federal plants for urban water management and constantly adapt them to new knowledge Represent the interests of the UFCL within the scope of the further development of earthquake prevention measures for the Confederation's constructions in collaboration with other specialist services Contribute to the development of trends in the sector of rainwater management and provide recommendations for the implementation of solutions within the UFCL constructions What distinguishes you Tertiary level education as a civil engineer or equivalent training as a building design technician; specialization in seismic safety of new constructions and existing buildings, as well as specialization as a specialist in ground water disposal or willingness to deepen these topics Proven professional experience in the sector of seismic safety and/or water protection Analytical and conceptual thinking; ability to solve complex issues Dedication to work, motivation, interest, ability to work independently and sense of responsibility Active knowledge of a second official language and English In summary As an expert in civil engineering, you will be responsible for the seismic safety of construction projects as well as approximately 2500 existing buildings in Switzerland and abroad.
