Sanitary Director Spitex Ticino: clinical guidance, quality and development of home care

Spitex Ticino is looking for a Sanitary Director at 50%, an experienced healthcare professional with leadership and a strong motivation to contribute to the development of home care and assistance in Ticino. The person will assume a central role in the sanitary management of the service, guaranteeing quality, appropriateness, safety and continuity of care and collaborating with the Management, the care managers, the nursing staff and the local socio-health network. We are looking for a person capable of combining clinical-assistance competence, managerial skills, leadership and human sensitivity, with a vision oriented towards the continuous improvement of Spitex services. Your mission Your mission As Sanitary Director, you will have the responsibility to: • guarantee the sanitary management of the service in compliance with cantonal and federal health regulations; • ensure the quality and safety of home care; • define, update and monitor clinical-assistance protocols, procedures, directives and guidelines; • develop and monitor quality and continuous improvement systems and processes; • promote appropriateness, continuity and safety of home assistance; • support the management of complex clinical situations; • foster interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors, specialists, hospitals, therapists and other health professionals; • collaborate with the Management and the care managers in the planning and development of services; • promote continuous training and the development of skills of the healthcare staff; • contribute to the definition of professional and assistance standards; • guarantee compliance with ethical, deontological principles, data protection and user rights; • contribute to the strategic planning and innovation of home assistance and care services; • represent, when necessary, the service in relations with the health and socio-health network of the Canton. Indispensable professional requirements • Nursing diploma or other tertiary-level healthcare training diploma consistent with the mission of the service; • authorization to practice the healthcare profession in Ticino, according to applicable regulations; • MAS (Master of Advanced Studies) in healthcare management; • for candidates with a foreign diploma, analogous training in healthcare management of at least 60 ECTS/CFU; • at least 2 years of full-time work experience in Switzerland in the healthcare field, according to the requirements provided for the sanitary management of SACD; • proven experience in the healthcare field and, preferably, in coordination, responsibility or management roles; • good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system; • knowledge of the Ticinese socio-health reality and, preferably, of the organization of home care / Spitex; • good ability to use IT tools and health documentation. Managerial training: what we consider Applications with the following are particularly interesting: • MAS in healthcare management; • University Master's in healthcare management; • University Master's in management of healthcare professions; • University Master's in direction or management of health services; • for foreign titles, equivalent training in healthcare management of at least 60 ECTS/CFU. Training will be evaluated in relation to the content, level and duration of the path, not exclusively on the name of the title. They constitute a preferential qualification • experience as Sanitary Director; • experience as care manager, nursing manager, service manager or healthcare coordinator; • experience in the SACD / Spitex / home care / home assistance sector; • experience in the management of quality and safety of care; • experience in the development and implementation of protocols and procedures; • experience in the training and supervision of staff; • knowledge of the health and socio-health network of the Canton of Ticino Working conditions Percentage: 50%Location: Spitex Ticino, Canton TicinoIndicative hours: mainly daytime, 09:00-13:00Start of activity: by 1st October 2026Probation period: 3 monthsRemuneration: to be agreed upon based on experience, training and professional skills.
