The Swiss Competence Center for Corrections (SKJV) is the platform in the field of corrections in Switzerland. Based in Marly (FR), we form the link between German-speaking Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland. As an integral part of the SKJV, the specialist unit for Education in Prison (BiSt) ensures the implementation of basic education for adult incarcerated persons in the facilities of criminal and preventive detention in Switzerland. We are looking for the Vollzugszentrum Bachtel, Ringwil (ZH), from 1. October 2026 or by arrangement a Teacher of Education in Prison 40%, Vollzugszentrum Bachtel (ZH) Your tasks Promoting competencies in the following areas: German and German as a Second Language (DaZ), general education topics (ABU), literacy, basics of mathematics, ICT basics; Accompanying incarcerated persons from different cultural backgrounds on their individual educational path; Maintaining quality standards; Further developing the educational offering, also in the digital area; Collaborating with the various stakeholders as well as participating in intercantonal meetings with other teachers from the correctional system. Your profile Master Secondary Level 1 or equivalent training; At least 2–4 years of teaching experience, ideally in adult education, with corresponding methodological competencies; Affinity for digital teaching methods; Strong communication skills; Strong social competence and the ability to awaken the joy of learning; Good linguistic skills.
