Specialist: Diabetes Counseling

The University Clinic for Diabetology, Endocrinology, Nutrition Medicine and Metabolism (UDEM) treats patients with complex metabolic disorders at the highest university level. To strengthen our interprofessional team, we are looking for a committed and motivated person as a diabetes counselor HF/FH What to expect <br /> • Counseling and training of outpatient and inpatient patients with diabetes mellitus (Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes) • Accompaniment and instruction in insulin therapy and modern diabetes technologies (CGM, insulin pumps and automated insulin delivery systems) • Promotion of self-management and health competence of patients and relatives • Conducting individual and group training sessions • Interprofessional collaboration with doctors, nutrition counselors, nursing professionals and other specialist disciplines • Documentation in the electronic patient dossier • Participation in the further development of diabetes counseling <br /> What you bring <br /> • Diploma as a nursing professional HF/FH or a recognized equivalent education • Completed further training as a diabetes counselor HFP, CAS or comparable qualification (Master's degree) • Experience in caring for people with diabetes, ideally in an acute hospital or outpatient setting • Enjoyment of patient-centered, evidence-based counseling • High social, communication and counseling skills • Independent, structured and responsible work • Interest in innovation, digitization and the further development of modern diabetes care <br /> Our offer <br /> • Responsible and varied activity in a university center • Committed, interprofessional team with high specialist competence • Collaboration in an innovative environment with modern diabetes technologies • Attractive opportunities for further education and training • Contemporary employment conditions <br /> Questions about the position?
