Innovation Engineering Internship - 80% to 100%

As an Innovation & Project Management Intern, you will be integrated into the heart of the Innovation Center team. You will be a pillar in catalyzing the innovative ideas and groundbreaking projects of HUG employees by providing project management support. You will bring the culture of innovation and creativity to life and support transformation within the institution. You will be tasked with creating favorable conditions for the emergence, maturation, and implementation of new products, services, and process improvements (applications, medical devices, tools, organizational solutions, etc.), relying on collaborative and user-centered approaches. To this end, you will develop and drive a permanent dynamic of idea and project generation. You will support innovation projects through all stages of their development, from initialization to implementation. In this context, you will analyze problems, needs, and usages in order to define and document clear specifications, integrating the challenges, objectives, scope, and deliverables of the projects. You will propose and support innovative solutions based on identified needs, contributing to the materialization of concepts through the creation of prototypes, mock-ups, digital plans, or user stories. More specifically: You will contribute to challenging preconceived ideas from employees through a collaborative analysis of their utility, desirability, feasibility, and viability in order to steer initiatives toward high-impact solutions aligned with institutional priorities. You will work towards disseminating the culture of innovation and collective intelligence within the hospital. You will assist in the design and facilitation of collaborative workshops and work sessions based on design thinking, promoting creativity and co-construction. In this framework, you will ensure the rigorous documentation of new processes and participate in feedback sessions to enrich and sustain the Center's knowledge base. You will support innovators in developing high-value-added solutions that meet user needs. You will oversee all development phases, including the definition of functional and technical specifications, the writing of specifications, the choice of manufacturing techniques, as well as the validation of feasibility and acceptability. Thanks to your appetite for rapid prototyping technologies typical of fablabs, you will actively participate in the materialization of concepts and in conducting field tests. You will provide project leaders with methodologies, practices, and tools that favor the structuring, acceleration, and success of projects (roadmaps, process analyses, management tools, dashboards, evaluation devices, etc.). You will also participate in the deployment of the Innovation Academy, the Center's training program, by contributing to the preparation and facilitation of educational modules intended to support employees in their skill development. You will support the implementation and deployment phase of projects both internally and externally by mastering the challenges of change management as well as the fundamentals of the business model. You will facilitate interactions with relevant stakeholders and ensure effective collaboration throughout the projects. You will support innovators in seeking funding and the valorization of their projects, by contributing to the structuring of files, increasing the visibility of initiatives, and promoting them to the relevant authorities and partners. As part of your missions, you will develop a fine understanding of the hospital organization, its networks, and its decision-making circuits. You will participate in the analysis and mapping of processes and information flows to structure and prioritize needs while taking business requirements into account. You will promote collective work dynamics by creating an environment conducive to creativity and the emergence of solutions, while paying particular attention to the valorization of innovators and different stakeholders. You will also ensure the sustainability of knowledge by participating in the documentation of processes, the organization of feedback sessions, and the enrichment of the Center's practical knowledge bases. You will take part in the daily life of the team by contributing to operational organization (preparation of reports, project monitoring, organization of steering committees and team meetings). Your interpersonal skills and listening skills will allow you to interact effectively with a wide variety of professional profiles (caregivers, doctors, researchers, patient partners) and to participate actively in the influence of the Innovation Center. Your solution-oriented posture will allow you to respond to recurring requests as well as unforeseen situations. Through your commitment, attitude, and way of collaborating, you will actively participate in the collective dynamic and convey the image and values of the Innovation Center.
