Biology Laboratory Technician - Quality Control

For our Cell Culture Analytics (CCA) team within Biochemical Quality Control, we are looking for a dedicated individual as Biology Laboratory Technician - Quality Control (100%) - (m/f/d) In this responsible function, you will perform highly specialized cell culture and neutralization tests for the release of our life-saving immunoglobulin products. In doing so, you will work in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment with predominantly manual testing methods, where precision, concentration, and quality awareness are crucial. Through your work, you will make a direct contribution to the quality and safety of our products and support our laboratory team in the reliable execution of demanding quality control tests. Competencies and responsibilities • Execution, evaluation, and GMP-compliant documentation of neutralization tests (anti-polio, anti-diphtheria, and anti-measles) for the release of our immunoglobulin products. • Independent execution of cell culture routine, including cultivation and maintenance of adherent cell lines. • Ensuring precise, careful, and GMP-compliant execution of all laboratory work as well as the complete documentation of all testing steps. • Participation in the maintenance, calibration, and monitoring of laboratory equipment and analytical systems. • Support in the procurement, inventory management, and administration of consumables and laboratory materials. • Participation in the maintenance and further development of laboratory-relevant documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Active participation in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes as well as compliance with quality, safety, and GMP requirements. • Close cooperation within the laboratory team as well as participation in regular team meetings. Qualifications and professional experience • Completed vocational training as a Biology Laboratory Technician EFZ. • Practical experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment and in handling cell cultures. • Ideally experience with microbiological or virological testing methods, such as neutralization tests. • Good IT user skills (MS Office); knowledge of SAP and/or LIMS is an advantage. • Very good German skills in speaking and writing as well as basic knowledge of English. • High concentration ability and enjoyment of precise manual laboratory work over long periods of time. • Independent, structured, and exact way of working as well as a strong sense of quality and responsibility. • High initiative as well as the willingness to independently acquire new methods and processes. • Team-oriented personality with open communication.
