To complete our teams, we are looking for a: Journalist for the news desk H/F (90%) (Contract with a maximum duration of one year) Your mission: Your role within our editorial and production teams will consist of ensuring the follow-up of current events in several forms and editing and publishing articles and different formats intended for our digital platforms, as well as laying out our content for our print editions. You must be able to hierarchize information and ensure impeccable quality of published texts, regardless of the channel. Your tasks: • Ensure the follow-up of current events by processing dispatches, maintaining our continuous threads, or producing articles and other formats, under the supervision of a news chief and in consultation with the entire editorial team; • Reread and edit articles from different sections before publication, ensuring the standards of digital journalism, in particular their readability and referencing (SEO); • Produce our daily newsletters; • Depending on needs, contribute to the maintenance of our digital platforms by publishing and placing our content in respect of the information hierarchy; • Participate in the print SR rotation for the creation and layout of our paper editions; • Exchange and collaborate with editors and section heads to optimize the publication flow and share good editorial practices from the web; • Enrich articles by adding, in particular, photos, graphics (datawrapper-), as well as integrated videos, either produced by third parties (youtube-), or by producing them directly. • The position involves staggered hours and weekend work. Your profile: • Holder of a press card or equivalent desired; • At least 3 years of experience within an editorial team, particularly in journalistic editing for the web and print; • Rigorous and dynamic, with a solid general culture, good benchmarks in the field of current events, and an excellent knowledge of Swiss current events and institutions, you are a force of proposal; • With French as your native language, you have impeccable spelling, excellent writing skills, the ability to design striking titles, and a good knowledge of web editing rules; • Mastery of German and English is a plus; • High sense of responsibility, organizational ability, tact, and team spirit are assets that you possess.
