Program Director MSc Public Health 80-100 % (Co-management possible) Department: Health Start date: As of 1.2.2027 or by arrangement Tasks The Master of Science ZHAW Public Health qualifies professionals to analyze the health of population groups, develop evidence-based Public Health strategies, and implement these in organizations, communities, in private sector as well as public contexts (administration, NGO) and society as a whole. The first student cohort starts in the autumn semester 2027. The program is carried out in close cooperation with other ZHAW departments. The position holder is responsible for the strategic, technical, organizational, and financial leadership of the Master's program Public Health at the Institute for Public Health (IPH) in close contact with the cooperating ZHAW departments and international partner universities, leads the teaching staff primarily laterally, and is personally involved in teaching and ideally also in research (depending on portfolio and employment percentage). Furthermore, the position holder actively engages as a member of the IPH management team in the strategic further development and operational implementation of the goals of the Institute for Public Health and works within the team of the MSc program directors of the Department of Health. Profile University degree: Master of Science in Public Health or Health Promotion and Prevention (FH/University) OR consecutive Master's degree in a Public Health-related subject area with proven advanced training in Public Health Doctorate (PhD) in Public Health or a Public Health-related subject area Higher education teaching qualification (Certificate of Advanced Studies) and proven, many years of teaching experience at university level in Public Health National and international networking in Public Health (science, practice, associations, and authorities), ideally with a specialization in the field of health promotion and prevention Good knowledge of the professional image, the European curricular frameworks (ASPHER) and the professional fields in the subject area of the program Management and/or leadership experience Good knowledge of the ZHAW environment and experience in interdepartmental and interdisciplinary cooperation at a university Proven track record in applied research and development Very good German and English skills, other national languages an advantage Integrative, enthusiastic, open, flexible and team-oriented personality The interviews are expected to take place in August and September 2026.
