We are looking for a: Product Developer - Senior Mechanical Designer R&D (M/F/X) - 100% Role Summary: As a Product Developer, you will play a key role in the research, design, and development of innovative mechanical equipment. You will contribute to the entire product development life cycle, from concept generation and detailed mechanical design to prototype validation, industrialization, and continuous product improvement. Your role: You will be an integral part of the TPS (Technology and Process Support) department at Dec. Your main responsibilities will include: • Gaining a deep understanding of the technology, products, and characteristics of the assigned product area. • Analyzing market requirements to develop innovative mechanical solutions, including new products and improvements to existing equipment. • Leading product development projects from concept generation through to manufacturing, assembly, testing, and prototype validation. • Creating detailed 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings of machine components and assemblies. • Selecting and specifying mechanical and pneumatic components, materials, and manufacturing solutions. • Performing engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and mechanical simulations to validate design performance. • Collaborating directly with suppliers to source prototype components and resolve technical issues. • Analyzing test results, preparing test reports, and implementing design improvements to optimize product performance. • Supporting the transition of new products from prototype to industrial production. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development and implementation. • Providing technical support for product-related engineering activities and continuous product improvement. • Verifying product compliance with technical, functional, and regulatory requirements. Your profile: • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical qualification, supported by relevant experience in mechanical product development. • Proven experience in mechanical design and product development of machinery or industrial equipment. • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor or equivalent) and preparation of technical drawings. • Good knowledge of machine design, mechanical and pneumatic components, materials, and manufacturing processes. • Experience in performing engineering calculations and mechanical analyses; knowledge of FEM/CAE is an advantage. • Hands-on approach to prototype development, testing, and continuous product improvement. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative mindset. • Ability to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams and international subsidiaries. • Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and regulations; knowledge of ATEX standards, the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), and GMP requirements is an asset. • Good command of written and spoken English.
