• 02 July 2026 • 100% • Indefinite duration • Opfikon, Zurich You will lead the global Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) function of Climeworks, ensuring a consistent and high-performing safety culture across our production facilities, test sites and corporate environments. At the same time, you will oversee corporate facilities and workplace operations, ensuring that our headquarters operates safely, efficiently and according to the highest standards. This is a crucial leadership role at the heart of our expansion journey, combining corporate risk responsibility with hands-on operational execution. • HSSE Strategy & Policies: You define and implement Climeworks' global HSSE (health, safety, security & environment) strategy, standards and policies across all sites, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to HSSE standards. • Safety Program Responsibility: You are responsible for and continuously improve the safety program in production facilities, test sites, construction sites and corporate workplaces, integrating a strong safety culture throughout the organization. • Regulatory Engagement: You act as the liaison with regulatory bodies in all jurisdictions where Climeworks operates, ensuring full compliance and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with authorities. • Executive Reporting: You act as the lead for safety performance (e.g., LTIR/TRIR), including executive reporting and conducting improvement actions. • Corporate Facilities Management Leadership: You provide strategic and hands-on leadership in facilities management at the Climeworks headquarters in Opfikon, while sharing best practices with other Climeworks sites. Note: Direct management of production and test sites is not within your mandate. • Stakeholder Management: You are the primary point of contact for all internal and external questions related to facilities and sites, collaborating closely with subsidiaries and external stakeholders. • Financial & Contractual Management: You oversee the financial and commercial management of contracts related to HSE and facilities, ensuring cost efficiency and strong contractual performance. • Integration of Safety and Corporate Workplace: You ensure perfect alignment between HSSE standards and execution within the corporate workplace. • Leadership & Organizational Development: You lead and mentor the HSSE and Facilities Management teams, fostering a strong culture of quality, accountability, safety and customer service throughout the organization. You are the single point of responsibility for safety and workplace operations across the company. • Training & Qualifications: You hold a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, providing a solid academic foundation for this role. • Professional Experience: You bring more than 10 years of experience in HSSE leadership within industrial, energy or process environments. • HSE & Technical Expertise: You possess strong expertise in corporate workplace safety, construction safety and production safety, combined with a focus on health and wellbeing. You are familiar with COHS standards and have solid financial competence, including budgeting and cost control. • Strategic & Operational Mindset: You are a strategic thinker capable of translating strategy into effective operational execution, navigating between high-level planning and practical implementation. • Leadership & People Development: You possess strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and grow teams, fostering collaboration and performance among diverse stakeholders. • Communication & Stakeholder Management: You communicate clearly and confidently, with excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at different levels of the organization. You have experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and facilities operations. • Accountability & Adaptability: You demonstrate a high level of responsibility, commitment and decision-making ability, and are comfortable managing complexity, changing priorities and change in dynamic environments. • Languages & Mobility: You are fluent in German and English and are willing to travel (approximately 10%), including site visits in Iceland and test facilities.
