The University Clinic for Dermatology of the Inselspital Bern is among the leading dermatology clinics in Switzerland. The Dermato-Surgery department is responsible for a wide range of outpatient and inpatient services - from oncological and Mohs surgery to reconstructive procedures and laser medicine. As a strategically important pillar of the clinic, Dermato-Surgery works closely with the Skin Tumor Center, Dermatopathology, Plastic Surgery, and Oncology. We are looking for an entrepreneurially minded, medically excellent personality to lead this department. What awaits you Operational and strategic leadership of the Dermato-Surgery department: personnel management, process design, quality assurance. Independent performance of the entire dermato-surgical service spectrum: excisions, Mohs surgery, reconstructive procedures, as well as laser-surgical treatments. Overall responsibility for dermato-surgical care - including capacity planning and further development of the service offering. Maintenance and further development of cooperation with Plastic Surgery, Oncology, Dermatopathology, and other medical disciplines. Responsibility for teaching and further training of resident doctors and students in Dermato-Surgery. Initiation and leadership of clinical research projects involving the department. What you bring with you FMH specialist title in Dermatology and Venereology with proven, several years of expertise in dermato-surgery. Sound experience in Mohs surgery and reconstructive techniques. Initial leadership experience or a strong interest in leading a department with conviction and personal responsibility. Entrepreneurial thinking: You strategically develop the surgical offering and think beyond the operating room. Enjoyment in the training and promotion of young colleagues as well as in interdisciplinary cooperation. Scientific interest and willingness to actively participate in research and teaching.
