Spatial Planner 50–80 % per 1\. February 2027 or by arrangement Your tasks You are primarily responsible for the further development of the cantonal structure plan in the areas of supply and disposal and develop the necessary foundations for this. You help to shape the spatial coordination of energy, supply, and disposal infrastructures and contribute to their future-oriented development in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. You supervise the specialist offices for footpaths and hiking trails as well as leisure cycle routes. In this function, you advocate for the further development of attractive routes and networks of paths. You are the contact person for technical questions, work closely with cantonal specialist offices as well as external partners, and represent the Department of Cantonal Planning in internal administrative and external committees. You participate in political processes at the cantonal and national levels and draft statements and political proposals. Your background You have a degree in spatial planning or geography as well as several years of professional experience in spatial planning. You have a flair for analytical and conceptual issues. You are used to working independently and responsibly. You communicate in an audience-appropriate manner and enjoy dialogue with different stakeholders. It advises municipalities and regions in their planning matters and is also the specialist office for public transport, monument and heritage protection, townscape preservation, noise protection, footpaths and hiking trails, and for geodata. The Department of Cantonal Planning is responsible for the preparation and update of the cantonal structure plan. It observes and analyzes the spatial development of the canton and shapes it to be sustainable, goal-oriented, and in coordination with the trinational territorial authorities.
