Shift Leader in Transport

This is what you can move. • As a Shift Leader, you are responsible for the operational management during your assigned shift and represent the Team Leader during this time. • Within the team, you are responsible for the operational management of personnel, trains, and vehicles. You issue functional instructions and assign them to the group within your area of responsibility as required. • You ensure that safety rules and processes, as well as punctuality and safety during the preparation of trains in your area, are complied with. • In the event of deviations, you independently take measures to keep the impact on customers and operations as low as possible. • You represent the interests of SBB Cargo in the event of a malfunction. Based on your observations, you provide important indications for improving processes and resource utilization. This is what you bring with you. • A completed vocational training or several years of professional experience in the field of shunting as well as a good command of the national languages (French and German) are required. Ideally, you have completed training in the RCP area and have completed the BZU training (Operational Train Inspection) or are willing to complete it. • You possess extensive social and professional competencies. You appreciate making decisions in unforeseen situations. • You enjoy working with colleagues and respect different personalities, you work independently and quickly find a good solution, even in difficult situations. You actively commit to the safety of your colleagues and are a role model in everyday life. • Frequent use of the computer is a matter of course for you, as is the application of the working time regulations of the GAV and the AZG. • You have a lot of experience in the field of shunting and are familiar with the team area of Biel.
