To support this mission, the Syngenta hiring team is looking for an Analytical Laboratory Technician in Muttenz, Switzerland. In this role, you will support us with the following tasks: • Performing and interpreting special and complex analyses according to predefined goals. • Knowledge and management of analysis methods for existing processes; support in the development and optimization of laboratory procedures. • Contributing to the development of new analysis methods through self-responsible management of simple development projects. • Operating and maintaining several specific devices according to laboratory organization; responsibility for their flawless function. • Knowledge and compliance with HSEQ risks and regulations (health, safety, environment, quality) in your own area of responsibility. • Seamless, up-to-date documentation of all experimental results, laboratory journals, and test reports. • Identification, preparation, and implementation of improvements to laboratory procedures. • Active participation in an optimization group (HSEQ, standards) at the department level. • Ensuring a clean and safely organized workplace (fume hood, laboratory tables, office). • Independent performance and interpretation of analyses (e.g., LC, GC, Karl Fischer). • Support in the commissioning of new equipment. • Supervision and training of operational staff to ensure uninterrupted shift analytics operations. • Independent development, optimization, and validation of analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. • Creation and maintenance of required regulations and work instructions. • Ensuring the maintenance and operational readiness of analysis equipment. • Data evaluation and seamless documentation. • Procurement of aids, chemicals, and consumables.
