Learn more: jti.com Please apply before 25.08.2026 Purchasing Cluster Category Manager Global Supply Chain (m/f/d) As Global Supply Chain Purchasing Cluster Category Manager (m/f/d), you will lead the purchasing strategy for the selected category across the Central and West Europe Cluster countries. You will be the key link between Global Purchasing teams, commercial stakeholders, and suppliers, responsible for the following categories related to our plants in Germany and Switzerland: • Production equipment & maintenance • Logistics equipment & maintenance • Facilities & building maintenance • Production material • Spare parts Role: As GSC Purchasing Cluster Category Manager (m/f/d), you will: • be responsible for managing the GSC category purchasing activities within your cluster • lead and support supplier tendering processes in close cooperation with the respective commercial partners to ensure the best combination of quality, cost, and service conditions • act as a category liaison for GSC and Indirect Procurement • participate in the development of the global strategy, deploy appropriate strategies defined by the Global Category team, define cluster-specific initiatives, and ensure close collaboration with all cluster stakeholders • lead a category-dedicated team. Oversee balanced workload distribution, training/coaching needs, and performance evaluation within the team and ensure the achievement of set purchasing objectives and indicators • identify and manage the regional/local supplier pool • ensure business centricity. • participate in financial planning and deliver benefits/value within your scope of action. • share category intelligence, identify trends and opportunities within the defined category, and conduct ad hoc cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives • ensure regional/cluster alignment and compliance with strategies Requirements: • University degree or equivalent professional qualification • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or category management in a similar environment within a multinational company • Ability to analyze costs, budgets, and business cases • Strategic mindset with strong decision-making capabilities • Effective negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills • Leadership skills, managing internal and external stakeholders • Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of SAP is a plus • Proficiency in English, written and spoken, German is an advantage What to expect: • 40-hour work week, at least 5 weeks of vacation, annual working hours • Catering (subsidized meals) as well as free non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and fruit • Free parking and electric charging stations at a reduced rate • Monthly health insurance allowances for employees and their families • NBU and KTG premiums fully covered by JTI • Own pension fund with supplementary benefits & JTI covers up to 75% of pension fund contributions • 500 CHF Reka vouchers for full-time employees (paid in January) • Parental leave (20 weeks) without salary reduction • Attractive employee benefits • Gym and various sports classes Are you ready to join us?
