The LDK maintains opinion-forming processes and strives for common positions. For matters capable of achieving a majority, the LDK, through its bodies, ensures effective interest representation at the federal level and at other directors' conferences. These tasks are coordinated and ensured by the General Secretariat of the LDK. It is located in the Haus der Kantone at Speichergasse 6 in the city of Bern. Your area of responsibility Strategic and operational implementation of the conference goals Management of the General Secretariat Cooperation in clear structures with the conference bodies as well as with partners in the individual policy areas Extensive contact with political leaders, cantonal and federal bodies, administrations, associations, and other institutions.
