DevOps Engineer III (Data Platform)

This is the contribution you can make • Plan, implement, and operate modern IaC and GitOps solutions and take responsibility for the entire deployment cycle • Design, operate, automate, and further develop MLOps environments for the deployment, monitoring, and reliable operation of AI and machine learning models throughout their entire lifecycle down to the GPGPU hardware • Administer, maintain, and continuously optimize complex Linux system landscapes for the end-to-end operation of an ICT layer for a data platform to ensure stable and high-performance operation • Administer Linux systems holistically, optimize performance, and implement system hardening and security configurations • Operate, further develop, and optimize monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure reliable system operation • Support the physical infrastructure in the data center with server, network, and datacenter components as well as installations and maintenance work What makes you unique • Completed training in the IT field HF/FH as well as several years of practical experience in the engineering and operation of complex IT systems • Sound DevOps competence through several years of experience in the setup, operation, and automation of modern Linux infrastructures as well as comprehensive knowledge in Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps, and associated processes • Striving for excellence with a high willingness to learn and openness to holistic, elegant ICT solutions as well as innovative approaches away from the mainstream such as Dhall, Pull-GitOps, and "Dew-" as well as "Fog-Computing" paradigms • Hands-on mentality as well as an independent and team-oriented personality with joy in working across the entire technology stack - from the physical infrastructure in the data center to automated platform and big data environments such as ClickHouse and Kafka • An impeccable reputation as well as the ability to integrate into an intelligence environment and act discreetly at all times are required • Active knowledge of a second official language as well as good English skills What we offer • Working for Switzerland We are committed to the Swiss success model and work for the welfare of the population. • Lived diversity Thanks to equal opportunity, we develop our competencies and bring in different perspectives. • Healthy at the workplace We support and advise our employees in the area of physical and mental health.
