Scientific Teaching Assistant for Giftedness and Talent Promotion in Computer Science (m/f/d) # 40%, Zürich, temporary #### print Print The Ausbildungs- und Beratungszentrum für Informatikunterricht (ABZ) is committed to sound and contemporary computer science teaching in primary and secondary schools, oriented towards current scientific, technical, and didactic developments. It supports schools and teachers with teaching materials, further training, and practical projects. One area of activity for the ABZ is the promotion of giftedness and talent (BBF) of children and adolescents through extracurricular offerings as well as through support programs in cooperation with schools. To support our offerings in the BBF area, we are looking for an engaged scientific assistant (w/m/d) with a workload of 40% starting September 1, 2026, or by arrangement. The position is initially limited to one year, but an extension is possible. Project background ## Giftedness and talent promotion in computer science combines technically demanding content with age-appropriate and differentiated promotion. The offerings take place both extracurricularly and in close cooperation with schools and institutions for the promotion of giftedness and talent. Didactically, we rely on creative, action-oriented, and project-based approaches to computer science. Content focuses include programming, algorithmic thinking, robotics, technology, and interdisciplinary STEM projects. The goal is to enable children and adolescents to have motivating, age-appropriate, and technically sound learning experiences. Job description ## To strengthen our team, we are looking for an engaged person who actively participates in the implementation and further development of our offerings. Tasks include in particular: • Collaboration in the teaching of the BBF offerings for children and adolescents as well as - depending on experience and induction - independent takeover of individual teaching sequences and projects. • Participation in the development, testing, and further development of teaching materials, tasks, and project ideas. • Support with course logistics, material management, documentation, and follow-up of the offerings. • Regular assignments at course and school locations in Switzerland - corresponding willingness to travel is required. Profile ## • You are in a Master's program or have a Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field. • A teaching diploma, ongoing training for a teaching diploma, or experience in computer science didactics is an advantage. • You enjoy working with children and adolescents and can convey complex content clearly, calmly, and motivatingly. • You have solid programming skills, especially in Python, as well as experience or a strong interest in robotics, embedded systems, IoT, or software development. • Excellent German language skills in speaking and writing are a requirement.
