Litigation Lawyer Do you wish to evolve in a professional environment that is always in motion, stimulating, and inspiring? Join the Litigation department team within the Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE), an Authentic, Courageous, and Equitable bank. As a Litigation Lawyer, you will play a decisive role in managing litigation credit files and in representing the Bank before the authorities. You will actively contribute to risk management, the implementation of effective recovery strategies, and the legal support of internal teams. Your missions ## Management of the litigation credit portfolio • Collect the necessary information and ensure the complete follow-up of commercial and real estate files of a litigious nature, • Conduct the required recovery procedures, • Draft procedural acts intended for the competent cantonal and federal authorities, • Participate in movable and immovable sales within the framework of forced auctions, • Conduct negotiations with debtor owners, property management companies, insurance companies, and other banking institutions, • Seek to minimize potential loss through the implementation of recovery strategies or suitable arrangements, • Manage and enhance non-banking use properties intended for resale. Management of provisions related to the litigation portfolio • Analyze and estimate loss risks for each file, • Determine the amount of provision necessary in accordance with internal policy, • Perform quarterly reviews of provisions with the department head. Representation of the Bank • Represent the Bank before judicial and state authorities, • Coordinate the recovery strategy and ensure the follow-up of files entrusted to external representatives, • Collaborate with other sectors of the Bank in a constructive spirit, • Identify opportunities for sound operations likely to generate additional income, • Advise Front entities, • Participate in the internal training of employees. Your profile ## • Complete legal education, punctuated by a bar admission (or experience deemed equivalent). • Proven experience in commercial and mortgage credits. • Excellent mastery of civil law and debt collection law. • Strong negotiation skills and management of complex situations. • Mastery of French, as well as English and German. • Rigor, analytical spirit, and a keen sense of responsibility.
