MPA (m/w) and Vocational Trainer The Adullam Foundation is a leading institution for geriatric medicine, therapy, and care in Northwestern Switzerland. It operates a hospital and an affiliated care center in Basel and Riehen. The approximately 800 employees offer elderly people a regionally unique comprehensive care service from acute medicine to rehabilitation and transitional and long-term care. As a Medical Practice Assistant (MPA), you work at the interface between doctors, nursing staff, and administration. You bring your medical expertise, organizational skills, and empathetic nature into the daily routine of our geriatric patient care. We are looking for a committed, initiative, and competent MPA (m/w) and Vocational Trainer 70 - 100% immediately or by arrangement at the Basel site. Your tasks - Organization of practice routine: working at the reception, telephone service, appointment scheduling, administration, correspondence, and electronic patient records, writing reports, protocols, and dictations - Laboratory work: performing blood draws (venous/capillary), vaccinations, infusions (mainly Ferinject), and internal and external quality controls - Assisting or performing tasks such as wound dressings and ear irrigations - Applying and removing 24-hour ECGs and 24-hour blood pressure measurements - Ensuring medical billing and invoice control (TARDOC) - Close collaboration and communication with doctors, nursing staff, and interprofessional teams Special tasks and areas of responsibility: - Project collaboration (optional): you participate in hospital-internal projects, particularly in the areas of quality, digitalization, and interprofessional collaboration. - Vocational training (optional): as a vocational trainer MPA, you take on the supervision, promotion, and support of our trainees in everyday life - and thus actively contribute to the further development of the next generation of MPAs. Your profile - Completed training as an MPA EFZ, ideally with experience in practice or hospital laboratory - In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and safe handling of MS Office and practice software - Independent, structured way of working with a high level of quality awareness - Empathy and enjoyment of working with older people and their relatives - Resilient, communicative personality with team spirit and organizational strength - Optional: completed vocational trainer course or willingness to complete it Have we sparked your interest?
